We were inspired by the #trashtag project
What it does
TrashTagTracker increases incentive for people to clean the world by raising awareness of the #trashtag movement and enabling users to report areas that need to be cleaned.
How I built it
We built our project using the Django framework to enable rapid development.
Challenges I ran into
Twitter api query limit, general bugs, managing a scalable database of tweet information
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Works fairly well, and is scalable.
What I learned
Gained a lot of experience with the Django framework, and http servers.
What's next for TrashTagTracker
different color pins for uncompleted trashtags, community board for organizing cleaning events
