Transport Neutral

Inspiration

The inspiration for this was bp's net-zero. We decided to use their idea of net-zero and make a web application that can help with the carbon emissions problem of transportation.

What it does

Transport Neutral allows companies to track their vehicles' amount of carbon emissions by the distance and type of vehicle used. After calculating the carbon emissions, the application calculates the amount of donations needed in order to offset their carbon footprint.

How we built it

Transport Neutral was built using React, MongoDB, Tailwind, Node.js, and Express.js

Challenges we ran into

Brainstorming and figuring out how to use the API was challenging for this project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing the web application on time!

What we learned

There were many things I learned from this project. I was unfamiliar with web applications before this project. After this weekend, I can say that I feel more comfortable and understand a lot more than I did before.
