Empower healthcare with transparency and security! Our project aims to revolutionize the pharmaceutical industry by utilizing blockchain technology to track medicines throughout the entire supply chain. Enhancing accountability, reducing counterfeits, and ensuring the safety of patients worldwide.

Our blockchain-based system enables real-time tracking of medicines from production to consumption. It ensures authenticity, prevents counterfeit drugs, and enhances supply chain efficiency. By providing a transparent and immutable ledger, we're safeguarding patients' health and trust in the pharmaceutical industry. It utilizes QR code to let the consumers get the information off the products.

We first researched the blockchain technology as it was the first time we were engaging ourselves in a blockchain based project. Once we got some knowledge, we started making a smart contract on Solidity. Once, the smart contract was ready, we started to work on the transaction processes on blockchain. We first tested Metamask, then blockchain networks like Goerli, Sepolia, etc. We ended up using Ganache network that is a local network. After that we started building the UI using Reactjs. This is where we ended up running into problems.

First challenge was understanding the blockchain tech in a whole. On the tech part, we ran into problems to find test networks to simulate transactions. Then, the major problem was making the UI using React. We got into a lot of problems to integrate our smart contract (blockchain) in the UI. We faced problems to entry data and calling. That cost us a lot of time.

We are proud that we learned so much about Blockchain based project at such short amount of time. We understood the use and the ways to implement it to provide services to the users. We gained a lot of knowledge and we think thats what matters at the end of the day.

Traceflow will grow into a full fledged blockchain based supply chain tracker not only on pharmaceuticals but a wide range of products. It will have a working UI next time.
