Sometimes staying on task is the hardest part. This app will keep you on track by keeping you accountable because your friends can see everything.

Inspiration

We were having a hard time figuring out what to do and we started writing down ideas and what we would need to do to finish them. We realized that we needed a to do list and decided to make that an app to keep us on track by keeping us all accountable.

What it does

It prompts the user the night before to put in their tasks that they want to finish the next day. When the day comes around, the app will send periodic text notifications to prompt the user to stay on track to finish everything they want to. The user can then post updates throughout the day for their friends to see with pictures of them doing their tasks.

How we built it

We started with an empty app template and built everything up from scratch. We split up the work so that different people worked on different parts of the app.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was getting flutter set up on everyone's machines and getting it so that they could simulate the devices the app would run on. Another big challenge we ran into was making the alarm clock section. Making a todo list took a lot of time and research to take user input and then saving it and putting it into a list that was displayed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

None of us had any meaningful experience with Flutter before working on this project, so we learned a lot and got a working application done.

What we learned

We learned how to use the basics of flutter to make a new app that we all thought would be something we would use if we had the option.

What's next for ToDoZzz

The goal is to improve the todo list system since right now what the user put in doesn't stay saved. We also want to properly implement an alarm system.
