Inspiration
Does the feeling of regret or frustration ever arise from procrastination? It can be struggle to focusing and working productively? This is no small issue, as 87% students are procrastinating according to a study done by StudyMode. This encouraged us, being culprits of delaying important tasks, to work towards a solution to tackle this problem.
What it does
Timero is a productivity timer which promotes you to get to work! Additionally, you can insert and monitor what you needed to be done all in one simple and well-organized page. Start your 25-minute timer, look at your list of tasks, and make some progress!
How we built it
The languages of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were used. Planning was also done on Mindomo through a map, wireframes were created of the design we envisioned.
Challenges we ran into
An obstacle we faced of working in a virtual space is the real-time collaboration on code. We managed to get around this by using an extension on Visual Studio Code called "Liveshare", which allowed us to stay updated on each other's progress and changes made.
What makes us unique
Timero makes use of a motivational quote each day to inspire users to achieve their goals. We realized the most diffcult thing about getting something done was about finding the willpower to start a certain task.
What's next for Timero
We are aware that Timero could use more sophisticated features, like including a scheduling component where you could allocate a certain time of a day in the coming future to complete (having a calendar view).
