Inspiration
Sick people spread germs, it's what they do. We wanted to build an application that can connect to a camera and alert users of what objects are most subjected to the droplets and aerosols of a sneeze or cough.
What it does
So far, we have built the skeleton of this project on android studio and configured the use of OpenCV with our application to view the
How I built it
We used Android Studio with Java and OpenCV to get a baseline application working.
Challenges I ran into
We were pretty new to Andriod Studio and it took us a while to learn the basics. Additionally, we spent a long time learning how to use OpenCV modules in Andriod Studio as well as resolving some git conflicts.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We were able to learn Andriod Studio in order to make good progress on our idea and get OpenCV working in our app.
What I learned
We learned more Andriod Studio and how to resolve git conflicts in our code.
What's next for Time To Clean
We plan on utilizing a TensorFlow lite API in order to detect objects in a given room and then use openCV to interface some sort of rendered graph of the layout of our room. In order to complete our app, we then plan on implementing a sneeze detection model to be trained to recognize a person sneezing.
