Prompt 1

Commuters to college campuses are frustrated that finding parking on campus is difficult. Using your appropriate skills, build a tech-based solution which will remedy the parking problem on college campuses.

What it does

You can look at our live map to see how many parking spots are available by parking lot! Each on-campus parking lot will display a percentage of how filled it is. When you first park at any parking lot, you check in to indicate your use of a parking spot. There are two geofences, one for on-campus lots, and one for the outer commuter lots. Once you have left the geofence corresponding to your parking lot you will automatically be checked out and no longer hold a spot for that parking lot!

How we built it

Using Visual Studio code, we created a web app with React and CSS

Challenges we ran into

Learning how to work with react, working on the api, and being overall unexperienced.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating the logo and getting the location api to function.

What we learned

We learned how to code in react, create logos in Figma, and implement api's.
