Inspiration: The inspiration for this project was the holidays of Halloween and Fall which is why we chose the color scheme. Transition of the seasons. The quote was to implement the idea of change as well into our project.
What it does: The Jacko pops into the screen part by part to form a spooky Jack-O-Lantern who's eyes light up
How we built it: We built the Jacko by using basic graphic shapes in Java and learning new methods to create color, position the shapes, and create motion.
Challenges we ran into: We had trouble getting the correct size for the ovals that form the pumpkin and struggles with understanding positioning.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are proud that we were able to even draw with Graphics as 2/3 of our team have no prior coding experience at all.
What we learned: We learned how to draw basic shapes and navigate the graphic pane. Now we can draw other projects in Java using graphics in the future.
What's next for The Jacko: The Jack could develop a full body that has clothes that changes colors.
