Inspiration...I've always wanted to push my limits in Java. I also wanted to create something that helps with school.
What it does...it has a calculator, a dictionary/thesaurus, and a list of compiled images designed to help with subjects. It also comes with a bonus Scratch game to relieve stress.
How I built it...I used JavaScript to create the calculator, dictionary/thesaurus, and the list. We used Scratch to create the stress-relief game.
Challenges I ran into...with the calculator, I had trouble with the roots and I hat trouble with the dictionary/thesaurus.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of...this calculator is pretty advanced: can compute addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and remainders, exponents, square and cube root, sine, cosine, and tangent. I'm also proud of the stress-relief game my teammate created.
What I learned...how to code multiple mathematical computations, I learned about URL's in JavaScript, and I'm proud that my team and I pulled this off!
What's next for The Student Tool...I hope to expand the calculators to have multiple numbers in one equation, and I hope I can add some interactive GUI.
