The Quickcycle
The future is defined by our past actions. Recycling is a massive problem because much of the materials that are able to be recycled are not. This is because people put trash in incorrect bins. Since the recycling machines don’t work with non-recyclable materials, they will stop working even with 1 non-recyclable material in it. We have researched and found sensors that can detect recyclable materials so they can be separated from non-recyclable materials and then can be recycled. Capacitive sensors, proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, and food sensors. This will sort out the materials so that they can be recycled or reused. This is necessary because over 1 million marine animals die each year because of plastic and over 100 million tons of plastic is drifting around the ocean. This will save millions of animals and will make the future a better place.
