Inspiration

Finding Some

What it does

It's a website built for the community to share their fears and insecurities anonymously. Here users can even support and suggest ways to overcome a particular fear/insecurity for the fellow users. Once a user overcomes a fear, they can even post a picture sharing how they did it. It also has an interactive puzzle game based on sharks

How we built it

We have used React JS and Cassandra DB to build it out.

Challenges we ran into

Using Cassandra DB was in itself a challenge since it's a combination of Relational and Non-Relational Database. With the front-end, building an interactive layout along with animations was a nice challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have taken our project close to where we had initially taken it to be.

What we learned

We learned using Cassandra as a means of a back-end and creating a layout that is up to date with the current social media standards.

What's next for The Phobia

We are thinking of implementing a one-to-one chat feature where a user could talk with an experienced counselor in times of need.
