Inspiration

Our project is inspired from our team name and the prompt. As fellow frog enthusiasts, we love the frog lovers around the world to learn about all the cute frogs around the world.

What it does

Not only is it a Gacha game, it also tells you about where each frog is located around the world, inspiring people to travel!

How we built it

We used react-native to build the app and firestore for database. It is currently designed for android, but IOS coming soon!

Challenges we ran into

During out time in the hackathon, we went through many trials throughout the day. From setting up react native with windows and mac, we also had problems running github with everyone and collaborating to make the app work. Afterwards the firestore setup actually set us behind by 5 hours.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to present you the different frogs around the world that you might have never seen or heard of. Make sure to collect the hidden frog as well! If you complete the north-pole set, you are the goat. However, to complete the set, you have to go find the frog in real life!

What we learned

We learned that react-native is -100 star and firebase is a pain.

What's next for The Froggies

Look out for new frogs added to the collection!
