Inspiration
One of our team members wanted to make a web app that allowed restaurants to post food they had left at the end of the night for homeless people. With that idea, The Courtesy Kitchen came to life!
What it does
The Courtesy Kitchen allows restaurants to donate their leftovers at the end of every day for homeless people and people in need!
How we built it
We built it using node.js, css, and html. We used figma for a rough draft!
Challenges we ran into
We decided to use another IDE for this project, VS Code, that some of our teammates weren’t used to. After a little bit of struggling to figure it out, we were able to continue! We also had a rough time figuring out how to get all the code in one place.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of the fact that we made a really nice website with an awesome mission.
What we learned
We learned how to use a different IDE, more code, and better designing for our future websites!
What's next for The Courtesy Kitchen
We hope to be able to implement a feature so that people in need can sign up and have The Courtesy Kitchen help them out. We also would like to implement more features, such as social medial links and more!
