Inspiration
I love creating sites, but they're often boring and uninteractive. So wee wanted to give web developers a place to get interactive backgrouds to spice up their website.
What it does
It's (currently small) library of dynamic javascript backgrounds using the <canvas> tag for use in websites
How I built it
Website built using bootstrap, the backgrounds with pure JS and <canvas> element
Challenges I ran into
JavaScript is a real challenge when you use it for something it's not really designed to do. The lack of a proper scope in js creating a lot of problems.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Finishing this in 9 hours, while dealing with all the bugs and errors of js
What I learned
A lot more about JS, the element, and Bootstrap.
What's next for The Background Factory
Make the website more presentable, and finalize it.
