How we built Tetra

We used LiveKit for voice agent, with ElevenLabs text to speech. The text generation model is gpt-4.1-mini. Our frontend uses Next.js and TailwindCSS deployed on Vercel. Our backend is hosted on Oracle. Tool calling for emails are done through Arcade.dev MCP Servers.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing Arcade.dev Gmail MCP Server integration with the LiveKit voice agent for tool calling. The authentication process and account registration was particularly tedious to encompass in a tool for the agent to call.

What we learned

Planning ahead and truly budgeting time, setting internal deadlines. This allowed us to build our initial MVP in half the time, giving us time to work on additional features.

What's next for Tetra

Integrating Tetra with more tools to call! This will cover all productivity applications including Notion, Slack, Discord and others, including enterprise platforms such as Microsoft office. If you have ideas, please let us know!
