Supply Chain Optimization

Inspiration

After hearing about how Covid impacted the supply chain industry, we wanted to create a program that helped companies minimize any disruptions that might happen because of Covid-19 and allow them to choose a supplier according to their preferences. We chose to focus on three important issues: time efficiency, environmental impact, and reliability.

What it does

It allows companies to optimize routes tailored to their inputted preferences through JSON data sets.

How we built it

Django, Python, JS, HTML, Brython

Challenges we ran into

We spent a lot of time trying to figure out AWS until we switched over to Django. Since a lot of us are new to coding, we also struggled when trying to use Brython and JS to create our website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of finishing our project, and for many of us, our first hackathon. We ran into a lot of issues, but we showed resilience in pushing through the problems on little sleep and super cold weather. Also, although we didn't know each other until Friday, We worked together and communicated really well to create a product we are proud of.

What we learned

We used how to use Brython and Javascript, as well as the steps in project development. We also learned a lot about some interesting growing fields, like supply chain management and telematic use.
