Inspiration
Nebula Labs inspired me to focus on the Students. I've realized the importance of organization in student success, so I wanted to provide the bones of a tool that would help many students.
What it does
The goal is to host uploaded files in the web, and allowing them to sync with a student's device files of choice.
How we built it
Node.js, React, JS, firebase.
Challenges we ran into
Our night was full of challenges. We originally started with a completely different stack JAVA, JSP, Tomcat, LDAP. We needed to switch to JS, which is not a fun environment compared to other places. Sleep was also a surprising challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We wish we could've spent more time on this, but we're glad to have a working site.
What we learned
Our team has never programmed extensively in Javascript, nor dealt with APIs. This was a learning experience in applying RESTapi concepts, API usage, and general web development.
What's next for Temoc Transfer
Temoc Transfer needs a lot of work to be the ideal tool. Our group needs to add functionality to sync up to student's other devices. We also need to add components of security since the app is still very vulnerable.
