Inspiration
Getting informations from the web is too general. When talking to chat bots the conversations are too impersonal. Yet finding friends with the right information may be a challenge. Hence, Temen.ai is here to bridge the gap between these problems.
What it does
We have created a mobile application with chat bots tailored to your needs based on the information you need. With the help of the current advancement of technology, many people own smartphones; hence, the convenience. Accessibility is our utmost priority, simply select on one of our personalized chat bots and chat on with your very own virtual friend!
How we built it
We built it using react native frontend platform along with express and node.js as the backend, and Supabase as our database service. We also process our data with calls to the OpenAI api, training the model in the process. This gives us a very personalized and friendly virtual friend. We also created the landing page which provides the overview of the app and links you to it.
Challenges we ran into
This is our first time using Supabase, so we encountered a lot of problems especially during the user authentication.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we are able to finish a full-fledge mobile application within 24 hours.
What we learned
We learnt that planning is extremely important in order to understand what components from the project that we need in order for the application to be working. So a good plan makes the coding easier and faster.
What's next for Temen.ai
We are planning to feed larger data and make it more personalized.
