Inspiration

We want to learn sign language but can't seem to be able to start. We decide to build Telepenguins to help overcome communication barriers in everyday life.

What it does

It helps to translate Sign Language into text language and vice versa. The languages available for text is not limited to English, it includes many languages such as Malay, Mandarin etc.

How we built it

Through figma, Python and Tensorflow/Keras.

Challenges we ran into

Downloading libraries. Trying to code. Tensorflow is compatible with a very limited range of libraries.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The logo, its functions (it can work!) and features.

What we learned

We learn to work with figma, python, tensorflows/keras, and learnt computer vision.

What's next for Telepenguins

We want to localise it and intergrate it into one functional app for the translation to between Sign Langauge and text to be available to the general public.
