Inspiration
There’s not a social network for users in blockchain related space. Popular solutions are pretty limited in terms of what external resources could be linked and clearly showcased. Such as other social networks (GitHub, twitter, facebook etc,) + projects + hackathon achievements and many other.
What it does
We ideated a “layer 2” sandbox social network. An open-source platform that allows users to import data from APIs (Twitter, Github, etc), and display it in the way they want. In addition to that, users will be able to create and join “groups”. These groups will allow them to easily find other users that share their networks.
Challenges we ran into
After hours of reading docs of different social networks to be sure that the project was possible to make, we had to find a layout that worked for displaying the data properly. After multiple attempts, we came up with the idea of having a basic one and to allow users to choose the one they need
The project allows:
- To build your profile/CV with all the data you see relevant
- Track, add and import badges/achievements (For example NFTs of proof of assistance).
- Code your own layouts or components and use them or sell them on a marketplace.
Further improvements
- Group pages
- Validating imported NFTs (for example recognize one received during hackathons)
- Marketplace
- Profile customization
- Provide a UI to mint achievements( POAP integration )
- Store some of the user data on-chain
