Inspiration

We wanted to reimagine the online shopping experience by combining AI, creativity, and automation. Instead of manually searching for clothing items and prices across multiple sites, we thought — what if an intelligent crawler could do all of that instantly and even generate complete outfits based on style and context?

What it does

Our project is an AI-powered web crawler that scans the internet to find, generate, and price outfits. Users can provide a description, image, or reference style, and the system automatically finds visually similar clothing items, assembles them into full outfits, and provides links to purchase each piece along with real-time pricing information.

How we built it

We built a custom web crawler that collects structured data from e-commerce sites and integrates it with an AI outfit generator trained on image embeddings and fashion metadata. The backend handles data collection and filtering, while the frontend visualizes outfit combinations in a consistent layout — ensuring all generated images and items are uniformly displayed for a clean, professional look.

Challenges we ran into • Standardizing images from different websites (varying aspect ratios, lighting, and backgrounds). • Managing anti-scraping measures and ensuring ethical, compliant data collection. • Matching clothing items accurately based on both visual similarity and contextual style. • Structuring the generated photos so each outfit appears cohesive and properly aligned.

Accomplishments that we’re proud of

We successfully built a crawler that can autonomously search the internet, identify fashion items, and generate curated outfits complete with pricing and purchase links. We also achieved a clean, structured image layout that makes the generated outfits easy to compare and visually appealing.
