Inspiration

We ourselves rememeber being children just a few years back and cringe at the fact, that if we were a little bit more financially literate back then, we would be a little richer now. Therefore, we want to help children to avoid the mistakes we made and have some fun along the way.

What it does

Aside from having the standard banking functionalities such as sending, receiving and managing your money, Tatra kids provides a kid-friendly, cute environment together with quests and achievements to gameify the learning experience for kids.

How we built it

We decided that React Native would be best for making an mobile app. Unfortunately, we didn't get skilled in it enough in time for it to matter, so the visual representation of our plans will have to suffice.

Challenges we ran into

It proved to be really difficult to learn JavaScript and React Native from scratch for a group of solely python programmers.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our team management was great. We spent the first few hours brainstorming in the focus rooms and it really helped us to know exactly what our plan is. We also, even though it was far from enough, did indeed learn a good bit of JavaScript and React Native.
