Our culinary journey as sophomores inspired TasteTailor, a project aimed at simplifying cooking experiences. Navigating recipes, aligning with dietary needs, and building a community drove our vision.

What it does

Developed using Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, TasteTailor integrates the Spoonacular API for food data. Leveraging GPT-2 for data sorting and cleaning, the platform recognizes ingredients from search queries, provides top recipes, nutritional insights, and optimizes recipe searches using natural language queries.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating AI components and APIs, navigating diverse technologies, and maintaining fluidity were initial challenges. Despite not implementing the ordering system, our platform recognizes ingredients and provides valuable insights.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a functional platform that recognizes ingredients, offers nutritional insights, and optimizes recipe searches. Our use of GPT-2 for data refinement showcases our commitment to enhancing user experiences.
