Task Manager Bot

Inspiration

Despite being a platform for gamers and communities, Discord could be a platform for work but we noticed that it will be better if we organised the work more. In teams, there is generally organisers that assign tasks to member with deadline but assigning tasks with only messages seems to be unorganised.

What it does

So this bot given that you have 'admin' role, you can assign tasks to members, delete them, view them, make deadlines, make task polls, (additional feature: make meets with only tagging attendees) if you're not an admin (you don't have the admin role), you can use the bot to view your tasks and its remaining time, and set a task to completed.

How we built it

We built it using python and its modules, and using Replit and its database.

Challenges we ran into

Eventually, a lot of bugs trying to implement our features and lack of time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As we are begginers, we are proud that we could build a bot from nothing.

What we learned

We learned how to work as a team, how to brainstorm and discuss ideas and we learn more about bots, apis and databases.

What's next for Task Manager Bot

For what's next, we would like to implement all our features and maybe improve the finished ones and also add new features.
