What it does

Alternative communication platform for als patients

A nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function. In this disease, nerve cells break down, which reduces functionality in the muscles that they supply. The cause is unknown. The main symptom is muscle weakness. Medication and therapy can slow ALS and reduce discomfort, but there's no cure.

our Project uses a Arduino nano and a piezo vibration sensor to detect the vibrations made by the ALS patients using his cheek and by that he make a sound which is detected and when the detected sound crosses a threshold value the selected text is said using text to speech
