Inspiration

SynthHero is a rhythm based game like guitar hero but instead of using a controller input it uses the microphone as an input so any instrument can use it

What it does

It converts MIDI files into a custom JSON file that takes the 4 most frequent notes so you can play your favorite songs

How we built it

An Arduino Uno is used as a synthesizer and plays 4 specific notes. The notes are recorded by the microphone so any instrument can be used to play the game

Challenges we ran into

The speaker broke while trying to solder so it needed to be replaced with a 5v Buzzer that required a different circuit

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-Soldered most of the circuit right -Created working webgame that takes either microphone or keyboard as input -Convert MIDI files to use with game
