Inspiration
We wanted to create a website that helps out college students to better organize multiple classes that can be overwhelming at times. This would help to make sure all students can remember deadlines by uploading their assignment due dates directly to their google calendar and organize their classes in one spot.
What it does
We created a simple way to read information from an uploaded pdf of a class syllabus and determine the dates for each assignment.
How we built it
We built the website using HTML/CSS and JavaScript to display the information. We also built the back end using Amazon Textract reads the uploaded pdf and extracts the important data and information from the syllabus.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges using Amazon Textract since it was the first time using it. We also ran into some challenges with integrating the website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of all the hard work our members put in and creating a successful project.
What we learned
We learned about NLP for the first time.
