We were inspired by how hard it can be to pick outfits and thought, why not make it fun and easy? Like swiping through a dating app but for clothes! We wanted to help people discover new looks without the hassle.
Swipe & Style lets users swipe through clothing items and instantly mix and match outfits. It helps you find your style by suggesting combinations, and you can buy the clothes directly through the app.
We built the app using a simple swipe interface, combining a fashion database with a recommendation system that suggests items based on user preferences. We used a backend to manage the clothing inventory and a frontend that makes swiping through options smooth and interactive.
One big challenge was making sure the app suggested outfits that actually looked good together. Balancing fashion sense with algorithms took some trial and error. We also had to optimize the swipe feature to make it responsive and fast.
We’re proud of how easy the app is to use and how fun the swiping feature turned out. We also managed to create a recommendation system that really helps people find outfits they love.
We learned a lot about balancing user preferences with algorithms, and how important good design is to keep the experience fun and smooth.
Next, we want to expand the app to include more brands and styles. We also plan to add social features where users can share their favorite outfits with friends or get feedback before buying.
