Inspiration

We created SWEEVENT because we wanted to make organizing events easier and more enjoyable for everyone involved. As we always say "GOOD EXPERIENCE, SUCCESSFUL EVENT"

What it does

SWEEVENT is a platform that helps organize events mainly competition ones (Hackathons, Ideathons...etc).

It lets participants submit their projects
make judging more fair while keeping it a good experience for the judges
Get help from mentors
Report a problem
Give their feedback about the event, the mentors...etc.
Showcases past and upcoming events.

How we built it

We built SWEEVENT using Node.js, React.js, MongoDB, discord.js, express.js and Figma.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge is the limited time that wasn't enough to implement all the functionalities

Accomplishments that we're proud of

implementing the URL validation and links accessibility check before submission
integrating the discord bot in our platform for calling a mentor and reporting a problem
automating the teams and user creation in the platform directly via a spreadsheet

What we learned

We learned a lot about web development(i.e: discord.js) and teamwork. We improved our skills in problem-solving and communication.

What's next for Sweevent

In the future, we want to improve the implementation of the features and solutions we made making them faster and more efficient. we also want to add other features that we didn't have the time to add during the hackathon
