Inspiration

The inspiration for Sweat Together stemmed from observing a gap in physical education. Traditional physical education often lacks personalization and comprehensive tracking. We envisioned an app that not only promotes fitness but also educates users about their body's responses, ensuring that physical education is not just about movement but understanding one's health holistically.

What it does

The site uses AI and ML to create a digital representation of the user's actions and then compares the user's actions with different data sets of professional trainers to see how well the user is performing certain exercises. It then provides users with feedback on these exercises and gives the user a repition counter.

How we built it

Building Sweat Together was a blend of technology and human-centric design. We collaborated with physical education experts to understand the nuances of workouts and the body's response. Using AI, we developed algorithms to track and analyze various health metrics. To ensure the app was user-friendly, we involved real users in our beta testing phase, gathering feedback and making necessary refinements.

Challenges we ran into

One of the primary challenges was ensuring the AI accurately analyzed the user's form during workouts. Physical education is sensitive; a wrong move can lead to injuries. Ensuring our AI provided real-time, accurate feedback was crucial.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the AI models that we used to advance physical education as well as the precise body tracking that we implemented into the website.

What we learned

Throughout the development of Sweat Together, we delved deep into the intricacies of physical education. We learned that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work. Everyone's body is different, and so are their fitness journeys. We also learned how rapidly AI is advancing in different industries.

What's next for Sweat Together

We plan on implementing Sweat Together in physical gyms. We also plan on implementing a system where users can join their friends online for them to workout together. Finally, we want to upgrade our trigonometry based body tracking system to a calculus based body tracking system to improve the accuracy of Sweat Together. We will use this calculus based version of Sweat Together to create a VR Sweat Together app that tracks user's workouts in 3D and creates a 3D gym environment for users to workout with their friends in.
