Why swaggyy?
Dressing well and swagging up is hard, especially if you slept through your 3 alarms and need to get to class in 10 minutes.
What does swaggyy do?
Just open swaggyy on your phone and take a picture of your wardrobe. It instantly gives you suggestions on what to wear based on color coordination.
How swaggyy?
We used Android Studio and Antigravity as our IDEs. We used Flutter as our framework for mobile development with the Dart coding language and utilized Firebase to store user's outfits and scanned clothes. On the other hand, our backend leverages FastAPI to handle an object recognition model and mistral, a LLM that generated clothing combinations. To design the front end, we used Figma.
Our challenges building swaggyy.
We ran into numerous problems when we started. To begin with, at the start two of our computers had issues with downloading and running Android Studio and Flutter, putting them out of commission for a few hours. This caused to us shift our respective roles and try to fill in the gaps.
swaggyy Accomplishments we're proud of.
We're proud of being able to create an app within 23 hours using unfamiliar concepts and having it work. Also, we're proud of ourselves for working hard and going out of our comfort zone.
What we learned (about swagger).
We learned a new side of programming with app development, how to manage information using databases, and what it feels like to run local AI models.
What's next for swaggyy?
Beyond SASEHacks, we want to eventually be able to input a catalog of the user's actual clothing pieces if they wish. This way, swaggyy's recommendation system will be even more tailored to your wardrobe. We'll be able to give more accurate combos and more swag-alicious fits. Also we want to add a swag score B)
