Inspiration
Walking is an important form of physical activity for employees, as it can help to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. It also promotes mental well-being and can improve mood and reduce stress. Encouraging employees to take regular walks, especially during work hours, can help to improve productivity, focus, and overall job satisfaction.
What it does
We can encourage employees to be healthy by giving them direct money instead of gym memberships which they will never use. Like giving employees daily money if they walk certain steps which can be calculated using Apple HealthKit APIs.
Step 1: Employer sets a goal in the Svasthya Web Dashboard. It is saved in Appwrite DB. Step 2: The iOS app measures employee data by fetching their step-count from Apple HealthKit API. Step 3: When the daily step count set by employer is reached on the iOS app it triggers a Appwrite function. Step 4: The function initiates a payout of 1/24th of the amount to the employee.
