Inspiration

We wanted to create awareness for sustainability in a fun way, with a distinct digital component.

What it does

You have 4 characters to date from, and you help guide them to being more sustainable and environmentally conscious partners.

How we built it

Using RenPy as the visual novel engine, storyboarding, and also custom pixel art

Challenges we ran into

Time constraints due to the amount of content needed to be created for writing, code, and art.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The game is playable (and dateable) and has beautiful custom art making it not only engaging, but visually pleasing to play.

What we learned

RenPy was a new language for the majority of our members. We also learned a lot about what sustainability actually entails on an individual level

What's next for Sustainable & Dateable

a more complex and challenging storylines to engage users awaits in the future.
