I built this project to bring back channel surfing of the past. I also though it'd be a pretty funny idea considering how Youtube is becoming more like the media of the past.
surftv allows to experience Youtube in a new way. You can surf channels, view the weather, and sports scores from the a very familiar interface.
This project was challenging from a UI perspective because I'm not too experienced with CSS and there are some reliability concerns when viewing a stream.
I think using Twitch would be better instead because the community is built around streamers.
