SuperSail is a new, innovative, indie-game developed at HackNJIT 2023 by Debarshi Kundu and Nabil Belfki. Control your ship and collect as many coins as you can, while avoiding the spike!

Inspiration

The Theme of the event this year was our inspiration.

What it does

Fun game that you can play to pass the time and sail away.

How we built it

GoDaddy for the domain name, AWS for storage and hosting, wrote our project in HTML/CSS and JavaScript, along with the JQuery framework.

Challenges we ran into

Problems with getting spike to move appropriately across the screen in a randomized manner.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Teamwork, networking, connecting the web app to AWS, making a complete game, etc...

What we learned

Debarshi learned more about the web-development hat, and Nabil learned how to make a web-based game using just HTML/CSS and JavaScript. Debarshi also enjoyed working with the AWS cloud system.

What's next for SuperSail

Building a menu so that you can toggle the sound and play the game, making a shop for upgrades, improving the quality of the game by adding more features.
