Inspiration

Pixel Pomodoro is inspired by the charm of cozy pixel-style games, making focus time feel like an adventure! By tracking everything—from study streaks to achievements—we add a dash of fun to staying productive.

What it does

Join Sugar, the aspiring cat chef of Catevill, on her baking journey! Start a Pomodoro timer, stay focused, and unlock new recipes as you complete study sessions. It's available as a web applications so it can stay on your computer as you study. There is also a phone widget where you can start timers!

How we built it

Used Figma to create the prototype.

Challenges we ran into

Creating custom assets for the web app was a challenge, along with styling everything to keep that cozy, aesthetic vibe!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Bringing Sugar to life with animated pixel art and crafting assets that perfectly capture the cozy vibe! I am also proud of the way the recipe book looks.

What we learned

Learned how to use notion for prototyping web applications and widgets. I was not too familiar with how components worked and this project helped teach me how to use interactable components.

What's next for Sugar & Focus

Prototyping a phone app is the next big step! In the future we also need to plan to add more assets, experiment with different color themes, and introduce a feature that lets you match with other users to study together—tracking how long you and their cats stay focused! We should also work to get sound effects into the application.
