Inspiration
We feel that a lack of communication has caused problems with Saint Ursula students finding Tech opportunities. We also know that there is a lack of women in Technology, and we aim to help bridge this gap by spreading our own passion for Tech with other students at SUA, an all girls school.
What it does
Our Tech Hub tells students about SUA Tech Clubs, upcoming programs, inspirational women in Tech, etc. while also showcasing the creative abilities of us, their fellow students. We hope that students looking at our website are inspired by this and want to join the SUA Tech community to learn more.
How we built it
We built this website using HTML, JS, and CSS through a collaborative IDE, Glitch.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges with fixing bugs, linking pages, functionality, and adding engaging elements like the image carousel, drop down tabs, a WIT act generator, etc. but we worked as a team to debug and solve all these problems.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are most proud (technically) of being able to code the image carousel and drop down tabs, and that we created and designed this website in such a quick timeframe. We are also very excited that we have made a functional website that can actually be used to benefit our school community. We are excited to further implement it.
What we learned
We learned a lot about digital collaboration and web design/ interesting functions with HTML.
What's next for SUA Tech Hub Website
We hope to collaborate with the developers of Saint Ursula Academy's main website to have our website linked. We want Technology opportunities to be a bigger part of SUA.
