Inspiration

As a student myself, I was frustrated with the lack of effective study tools available online. The ones that I did stumble upon were subpar or expensive. This inspired me to create a platform that streamlines the process of finding quality materials and making studying much more engaging for people.

What it does

StudyBuddy matches users with high quality study resources such as flashcards and subject prep materials for various subjects. It also features a unique reward system that tracks progress provides motivation.

How we built it

The first step of my design process was vigorously brainstorming ideas for an app. Once I thought of one, I started to implement my ideas through various softwares and applications. I decided that Weebly would be the best, so I spent a plethora of hours designing the perfect web app. Over the course of this journey, I had finally built StudyBuddy.

Challenges we ran into

Creating a good user interface that catered to the preferences of our users was a difficult challenge. Designing layouts and interactions that were both visually appealing and easy to navigate required lots of time and iterating many designs multiple times to perfect it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am really proud with what I have accomplished with StudyBuddy. I have built a platform that's easy to use and can potentially make studying a lot better for students worldwide.

What we learned

I have gained valuable experience in web development and user experience optimization. Not only that, but I have also learned how to build something from scratch using various design methods.

What's next for StudyBuddy

As of now, StudyBuddy is just a prototype, but we plan to add more comprehensive features as I get more data.
