Inspiration

Studying is hard, harder when you're a procrastinator. So why not take a look at the Pomodoro technique? Study for 25 minutes, rest for 5. But for that 5 minutes, we know you NEED a cortisol boost. Something interesting to keep you going, something that is fun. A Choose Your Own Adventure Game, if you will.

Today, AI is taking over multiple industries, whether in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or just pure manual workforce. In the future, where people lose their jobs to so called "clankers" what will happen to humanity? Will this system save or destroy humanity?

Now, this CYOA game delves into this. You wake up from a cryostasis chamber, unaware of where you are, when you are, and why you are. It is up to you to discover the dark secrets of this world and whether or not you're willing to do anything about it.

What it does

This website helps people study while exploring a possible future (albeit far-fetched) where people lose their jobs due to AI. Without regulation what may happen. It is simply a cautionary tale.

How we built it

We built the visuals using Canva and brainstorming the CYOA plot using Google docs. The code was made with a combination of ChatGPT and human If Else functions. The code includes HTML and Python.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard trying to find a plot that was engaging and combining studying and a plot so harsh.

How to make a CYOA game and how to put pictures into HTML. We also learned some Python and some more javascript.
