Our web app allows students to explore Penn's study spaces and find which study spots are open. This saves students precious study time and helps optimize the use of Penn's study space resources. We are applying an Internet of Things solution to determine if a study spot is open or taken. More specifically, we are using infrared sensors to determine if a person is sitting at a study spot.
