Inspiration

In lots of computer and data science classes, people are on their computers distracted. It's fine, until professors start banning electronics in classes. We don't want people to stop playing games, texting, and studying for other classes... but we do want to help them pretend to be interested!

What it does

This is an extension that reminds people to pay attention in class.

How we built it

This was my first time making a chrome extension, so there was a lot of learning! The code itself is a mix of javascript and html mostly.

Challenges we ran into

You have to enable a specific set of notifications... this caused many hours of hard work to go unnoticed.

What we learned

Some basic javascript logic, and how to use the chrome api functions.

What's next for studious

It would be cool to automatically send notifications based on a user-inputted schedule.
