Inspiration
In the beginning of the Hackathon, we formed our group and started discussing what problems need to be addressed within our society. We selected healthcare as our main focus and developed our web app to increase the efficiency of healthcare service as well as a tool for research. This idea was big enough that it could be expanded upon in almost every direction.
What it does
Our web app will provide the features including scheduling healthcare appointment, report recent activities and drug usage, and real time communication between patients and healthcare providers. This is a critical service for all companies, however small health care providers don't have the infrastructure to implement themselves.
How we built it
We started the project by selecting the technologies/programming languages we are going to use. We also decided to use agile development model during the process.
Challenges we ran into
During the development process, we faced challenges on learning new platforms and databases.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of ourselves for learning new knowledge and apply them into real application within 36 hours.
What we learned
By going through this process, we understand the basics of mysql, AngularJS, NodeJS, and Mongo.
What's next for Stride Health
We are looking forward to add more features such as data mining, big data analysis and pattern recognition into our web app to provide better and personalized healthcare service for the people.
