Inspiration

We were inspired by our passion for the Middle East and by how powerful prediction markets can be for understanding fast-moving world events. We wanted to build a better way to follow live developments through market signals instead of only relying on scattered headlines or social media.

What it does

Strata is a live event-tracking terminal for the Middle East built on the Polymarket API. It monitors live prediction market activity, surfaces important shifts in odds and trading, and helps users follow how markets are reacting to breaking developments in real time.

How we built it

We built Strata using the Polymarket API as the core data layer, pulling live market and trading data into a terminal-style interface focused on Middle East events. We then added an AI layer to organize the feed, highlight meaningful movement, and make the data easier to interpret quickly.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was working with live data from the Polymarket API and handling fields that could be inconsistent, incomplete, or difficult to map cleanly in real time. Another was making the interface feel fast and readable while still showing enough information to be useful during breaking events.

Accomplishments that we’re proud of

We’re proud that we built a focused live-tracking product instead of a generic dashboard. Using the Polymarket API, we created a tool that makes Middle East prediction market activity easier to follow, interpret, and explore as events unfold.

What we learned

We learned a lot about building on top of the Polymarket API, processing live event-driven market data, and designing an interface that turns raw prediction market activity into something more useful for real-time monitoring.

What’s next for Strata

Next, we want to deepen our Polymarket API integrations, improve market explanations, connect related markets automatically, and add outside context so Strata becomes the best tool for live Middle East event tracking through prediction markets.
