Inspiration
We wanted to build a simple web app, that could make a impact for the people, that have little or no experience in investing or trading. We believe that with some knowledge, the trading can be available for everyone, no matter their budget, so we wanted to make it more accessible and to educate people about this activity.
What it does
It provides the trading with various financial instruments, whether it's stocks, cryptocurrencies or ETFs. It also consists of an educational and fun game Snake, where the client can receive tips on trading and points, for which the client can get a bunch of shares.
How we built it
We have React front-end and Python back-end with Firebase database. We also provides AI-generated tips and advices with using OpenAI API. On back-end we use free API from FMP to provide "real time" stock changes.
Challenges we ran into
Time managing issues, idea selection, validation of our ideas, API integration.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Team dynamic, planing stage at very beginning, decision making, integration with many services, find stocks API.
What we learned
We learn how to work with Firebase database, how to write effective prompts, what's the most amount of coffee we can drink in one day.
What's next for Hack&Stock
Adding more games, attracting more user activity, integrate with better AI service
