Predict - Simple Stock Predictor Web App
Our Team: Khuong Tran, Deniz Jasarbasic, Eric Karpovits, and Raz Levio.
Inspiration: Wanting to find success in the stock market that would be backed up by historical data and relatively accurate predictions.
What it does: Using a technical analysis approach, the model predicts future price movements.
How we built it: Python, Jupyter Notebook, and various Python packages, such as Yahoo Finance, Numpy, and Pandas.
Challenges we ran into: During our project we primarily ran into challenges with our data, such as noisy data sets of historic financial data that affected performance and accuracy (R-Sqaured value).
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Further strengthening our skills in python and data science.
What we learned: Various financial python packages, metrics, terms, methods of stock analysis (technical vs fundamental analysis).
What's next for Stock Predictor Tool: More accurate predictions (higher R-Squared value).
