Inspiration

Many people have ideas for startups, but don’t know how to turn those ideas into something real. Students, creators, and aspiring entrepreneurs often struggle with identifying real problems, designing business models, and planning their first product. We were inspired to build StartupForge to make startup creation easier by using AI to transform a person’s interests, skills, and passions into actionable startup ideas.

What it does

StartupForge is an AI-powered web application that helps users generate startup ideas and business plans. Users input their interests, skills, and global problems they care about. The AI then generates:

A startup idea

A business model

MVP (Minimum Viable Product) features

Market opportunities

The platform also allows users to automatically generate:

A landing page concept

A pitch deck structure

An MVP development roadmap

This helps turn a simple idea into a structured startup concept within seconds.

How we built it

How we built it We built StartupForge using a combination of modern design tools and AI technologies.

Figma was used to design the UI and user experience.

JavaScript and API logic were used to structure the backend flow.

AI APIs were used to generate startup ideas and structured business insights.

The app uses a form-based input system where users enter interests, skills, and problems they care about.

The AI processes this input and returns structured responses that populate the UI with startup plans, features, and market insights.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was designing AI prompts that produced structured and useful results instead of vague ideas. We needed the AI to return organized information such as business models, MVP features, and market opportunities.

Another challenge was designing a UI that clearly presents complex startup information in a simple way. We solved this by organizing results into clear cards and sections so users can quickly understand the generated ideas.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that StartupForge can turn a few simple inputs into a complete startup concept within seconds. The platform bridges the gap between creativity and execution by helping users structure their ideas.

We’re also proud of building a system that combines AI idea generation with practical startup planning tools, such as pitch deck generation and MVP roadmaps.

What we learned

Through building StartupForge, we learned how powerful AI can be when combined with structured prompts and clear UI design. We also learned the importance of designing tools that help users move from ideas to actionable plans.

Additionally, we gained experience in product design, prompt engineering, and building systems that integrate AI into real-world applications.
