Project Summary

StarPlex is an AI-powered platform that helps entrepreneurs instantly validate startup ideas and uncover critical market opportunities. It replaces weeks of manual research with a visual, data-driven interface that answers key questions every founder faces: Is there real market demand? Who are my competitors? Where are my target customers? Which VCs are the best fit? And Who could be an ideal co-founder?

We wanted to make startup validation faster, smarter, and more visual. We are passionate about shipping fast and have value in what we ship, so

What it does

StarPlex automates research on co-demand, competitors, investors, potential co-founders, and customer demographics, presenting results on an interactive globe with heat maps.

How we built it

We used the Perplexity Sonar Pro API for structured reasoning, React and Three.js for visualisation, and Google Trends for demand validation. Used components from 21st.dev, shadcn for clean UI/UX.

Challenges we ran into

Parsing non-deterministic AI response into consistent and structured outputs
Dealing with rate limit
