Inspiration
We wanted to create a unique and practical app that could help the world in the future, and what better way to do it than food. We noticed that organic food was expensive and harder to find so it inspired us to make Sprout so that we can bring organic food to people at a cheaper rate without it being a hassle to find. Because who hates cheap and accessible stuff right?
What it does
It functions as a food delivery application that connects users with local producers, allowing them to buy local products and get it delivered to their doorstop. Through the usage of the app, it will help promote sustainable food consumption by allowing users to opt for more organic food without the hassle of having to look for organic food..
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS to code out the design based on a mockup created by our team member. Then we implemented the necessary functions that the app requires through JS.
Challenges we ran into
We were unable to get the actual backend API to work as there was quite a number of so we had to use hard-coded data to demonstrate our MVP.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were changing our ideas so much that we started when the hackathon was ending in 12 hours and managed to come up with a MVP. :D
What we learned
How to efficiently prompt AI to assist with troubleshooting error codes. (>.< ! ) Inner peace (ㅅ´ ˘ `) Trust in the process ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ How to plan better for future hackathons ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ*) Not to wing it in the future (o.O)
What's next for SPROUT
Incubate in a few years time. Let us cook.
