Inspiration

In a world where algorithms dictate what we listen to, we believe in giving control back to the listener. Our platform is built on the idea that discovering new songs should be intentional and not manipulated. Like Archive of Our Own, a popular reading database, we prioritize user-driven exploration-- filtering by what matters to you. No forced recommendations -- just music, curated from your own mood and choices. It's time to explore music on your own terms.

What it does

Our platform gives you full control over music discovery by letting you filter what you do and don't want to hear -- no algorithms, just vibesss.

How we built it

We didn't. Minh did. But as a team, we all played our individual roles. (Minh used the provided ECL documentation, trial and error, and logical thinking.)

Challenges we ran into

Debugging in ECL is challenging due to its limited online presence. Solutions and community discussions were rare. We also had to deal with an unfamiliar programming language and frequent syntax errors. We had to rely on provided ECL documentation, trial and error, and logical thinking to overcome the obstacle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Completing the challenge fully. We're proud also of never letting the workload overwhelm us.

What we learned

Quality over quantity.

What's next for Spot(themistake)ify

Our next goal is to develop a User Interface to go along with our project.
