Inspiration

Frustration due to high costs of medical services and losing my personal patient history due to mix-ups and errors

What it does

Increases transparency in the healthcare system by showing patients the cost differences between branded and generic medicines Reduces medical latency by creating a decentralized ledger to be accessed by all authorized medical professionals.

How we built it

Used JAVA to build a desktop application and simulated a blockchain ledger

Challenges we ran into

Setting up a blockchain ledger was difficult. Building all the UI in the given time was quite tedious.
